Thinking of Building a Biocube 14G

Once the diatom bloom hit my last tank the water was good enough to toss in a small cuc, my only loss was a blue leg hermit who got shell jacked by another hermit.

Yeah, nothing is really going in the tank for awhile still. Honestly, I don't even have test kits cause I ran out of funds and wanted to get the tank started. I'm just thinking I don't need to know about water perimeters as I've done this before and know what to expect. Before I put in a CUC I'm obviously going to get a test kit and see how the water is before I throw them in. If you haven't done a SW tank before I would not recommend what I'm doing, plus it's fun to see how your tank is changing day to day.

I just noticed you went with the pukani, you will have hair algae lol. I did the same, and had it everywhere.

I've read that the pukani had a lot of die off and leached phosphate which created issues. But there is a give and take to everything. There are ways to easily balance it out and I don't mean chemicals. I've bought it knowing what would need to be done.

Yep, if I did mine over I would have cured it outside of the tank. I still have some, but the worst of it only lasted about 2 months. My court jester goby loves to eat it, maybe you could try one again lol
