Keeping Robin's off cars?? A Poo Situation...

We advocate for the ethical treatment of fish but joke about killing a native species for our own comfort..for shame.
mine too, my grandfather collected as many surplus guns as he could after WWII so he's handed down a M1 Garand, the M 1897, he got his hands on a military issue Mini-14 after nam and all kinds of fun stuff, he even gave me an SS Issue Luger with all the stamps and serial numbers...not that I like anything about Nazis, its just a great piece of history, that is fun as all getout to shoot. I'll let you shoot my guns if I can pop a mag through that M1887 you've got there.

but....but....their poo is acid and it etches the paint!!!! I'm sure he's already tried asking nicely for them to leave lol.
You are right. I do advocate ethical treatment...of all animals! The problem arises when this robin is going about causing some pretty serious property damage. If you read the initial post I made, you will see that this is going on year 3 and will see a list of all the "non-harmful" things we have tried to convince this bird to abandon it's current behavior.
I'm completely exasperated. This isn't just causing damage to ONE single vehicle, but the paint job of 4! We are talking about thousands of dollars in damage. I just don't know what else to do to prevent this behavior, that's why I posted here to see if anyone else has had this issue and knew of a remedy. Unfortunately, we are not financially secure enough to afford to just let it do as it chooses and re-paint all 4 vehicles when he is finished.
If you have a humane method that would help...I am more than open to suggestions.
How is a squirt with a water hose on the doors of the vehicles daily not going to suffice. I have two parrots and know the damage bird feces can do if built up but I have never seen any damage with mine if it is cleaned right away.
That's true. My parrot feces doesn't seem to do any damage either. I DO scrub off the poo every day. It's hard to describe just how much these birds are going. I think the difference is that the vehicles are out in the weather. We have no shade so it bakes in the sun. There is already damage to 2 vehicles drivers doors. Their feces just bake right in and etch the paint. I would have to be running out every half hour to scrub it off and hope that would handle it. Unfortunately and fortunately I do work from home but time simply doesn't allow me to be doing it that often.
If it were as simple as "a little squirt with a garden hose" I promise I wouldn't be complaining. It requires a detergent of some type and quite a lot of elbow grease to get it off. It takes me nearly an hour every night to move all 4 trucks and wash and scrub it off and that is STILL not preventing the etching in the paint.
I set up a sprinkler today on a motion timer in attempts to scare them away. The bird was not phased and just continued on to a mirror and window not getting as much water and continued on.
