SW View on "Tanked!"

:iagree: that

One thing I found reassuring in the article is that they ship the fish to a LFS local to the client and quarantine for a few weeks before the tank even gets set up.

I'm going to put 5 powder blue tangs in my 14 gallon and when they get too big I'll sell them.

Don't worry, I'll make sure to quarantine them first!

So random fish stores around the country have empty established tanks that are leased out to these guys? Sounds a little fishy to me.

I think Tanked! is a great entertainment tool, but I do agree that many of the aquariums are overstocked. I can't believe how they place sharks in newly established tanks, when these beautiful creatures should only be cared for by experienced aquarists. I also don't agree that they recommend sharks in their top 5 best saltwater fish to have. There are so many needs for keeping sharks, how can they recommended? Sure, they're cool. And I absolutely love sharks. But I have a 180 gallon and will not put even the smallest of cat shark in it.

hey...guys...remember our jokes about having the tanks in the car? raise your hand if you've seen their promo's for the aquarium bus...
