free fish from walmart :)

ok heres the story, i went to walmart, looked at the fish, asked for the pet depertment manager, told him i can take the sick fish for them, got 4 ( not really sick but they have ich and one has mouth fungus ) african cichlids. one i think is a elec blue ahli hybred, other a peacock of some sort, other two i have no idea. will have to find out....

my advice, if you have a hospital tank, go to walmart and ask if you can have there sick fish for free ( i did and now i have 4 ) they will be going in my hospital 10 gallon tank for a few weeks.

while admitting you are "slacking" on the hobby and not doing water changes, you take on fish that are sick, gonna throw them in a 10 gal QT and don't even know what some are......

In addition to giving away sick and dying fish, Walmart sells the dead ones at a significant discount as compared to the grocery store, if you don't mind them being chopped up into fillets and frozen.

heat and salt method.. dont use chemicals to treat sickness and rbis, i am getting back and full into my hobby

heat and salt method has always worked for me on all sick fish i had ( not many sick fish throughout my fishkeeping though )
