Jay's Planted 180g Tank.

I'll spare you the close up.... (BBA is terrible) It' looks great from beyond 8feet =)

Don't do anything else!! It's perfect where it is :D once everything settles and grows in, this tank is going to be amazing, man!
 
So good news bad news.

BBA is still there but it only appears to be affecting the old leaves which will hopefully choke themselves out and fall off. I've been cutting off the really bad ones if I can get to them.

I looks like the transition of the H. pinnatifida is almost fully submersed and I real like what I'm seeing with the contrast against the A. reineckii. The H. pinnatifida is such a deep green it's vein brown it is just cool. I've seen pictures of it almost red but is that due to conditions, deficiency or different plant?


Hopefully the adjustments with the ferts will get the tank back in balance and all forms of algae back undercontrol.
 
I'm liking the pinnatifida! At my lfs display with it, I recall it is reddish-brownish the closer to the light & emersed. They have it growing up a large piece of wood, it's spectacular!

May when It has a little more roots I'll put one up higher on the driftwood see how it does. Originally I was a little concerned about how slow it was transitioning over 2-3 weeks it wasn't establishing roots or anything then I split the tops off and burst with new growth.

Wow that is a sweet looking tank, love the anubias and the roots on the right.

And I have some problems with BBA ... I tried everything (filters cleaned more often), changes in the fertilizing / light / CO2 ... nothing worked) until after all I got to reset ... I cleaned all the gravel to remove dirt. (one of the causes BBA).
Have you recently cleaned gravel?
Or another possibility: under the gravel (new or cleaned) you have fertile substrate exhausted?
