My tanks

Especially how all of the hardscape was locally found :)
I wish I could say that here. Closest lake is a fully day's drive. And i doubt you could even get wood from it. ///sigh\\\

You can always take a walk in the woods and see what you can find, that's what I do :) All my hardscape came from some family owned woods
Woods? What woods? lol. Again, a 1 1/2 hour drive through winding mountain roads to get to the nearest forest. And 99% of all the trees up there are pine. Im pretty sure you cant use pine in the aquarium. If only I could use prickly pear. lol

Awesome tanks! I'm just surprised, the apple snails would eat vallisneria?
I wouldnt doubt they would. I have to wait for the both of them to live out their days before adding anything

Added the good hornwort from my 20g to Franklin's tank

Bonus, showing the various colours of his stupid lights. The first light colour is what i keep it on. I can set it to each of these colours or the shades in between. Or let it slowly rotate through all of them. Would probably drive my fish nuts so i dont.

Yeah so im pretty sure my fish are yelling at me to go back to work, but some new pictures...

T the loach i took your advice and finally got around to switching out the heater on the one tank, so now you cannot see it.

Not much has changed in my nano tank. Just plants keep growing.

Cheriko's tank has really put out the tannins this week. Ive adjusted her lamp as well and ditched the foil hood. There is a acrylic cover over the feeder hole that i also place the pellet container on top of. This time, not losing another betta to jumping through the tiny gap.

Franklin's tank is growing the hornwort very nicely. He is enjoying the tall plants. I also swapped out the background for black construction paper instead of the bamboo placemat.

Now... the planted 20 gallon... i redid it.
I centered all of my plants and removed the jar filter i had in the corner. I used the sponge from the jar filter and made a smaller version to make it more discreet. I am down two skirt tetras, we lost two. One was Bacardi, the special green girl, and the other was Daiquiri one of our longfin white skirts. Bacardi got stuck under some plant roots which trapped her gills, i think she suffocated. Daiquiri wasted away even though i was treating for internal parasites, she was a little far gone. Treatment has done well on the rest, no more white string poops. I have 5 skirts left, after COVID eases up I will pick out a 6th to keep that school up. Ideally another female to keep more peace (got 2 males 3 females left)20200414_190317.jpg

And my big tank. Ive been dumping salvinia in it because its taking over my 10g and my 2.5g and everywhere else that doesnt drown it. I have nowhere else for it for now lol eventually ill have to start selling it or giving it away, but on lockdown so have to wait til after COVID settles down. But, my gouramis are loving the floating plants. Which, btw, Red and Key are getting along great. A bit of chasing but its not bad at all. Sometimes hang out together, sometimes off on their own.
