Amazing, did you take that pic Noodles? How?
Ive got a small mini microscope we got for our son, but I play with it most lol

Some other photos

The microscope itself. To photo through it, I place my phone's camera right on the view finder. Can be finicky

Its a weak microscope but its useful to use for fun or to get a closer look at something.

I can hold it in one hand right to aquarium glass too, which is useful to view some of the things like fry and snails if theyre cooperative

Maybe about a month to 2 months ago?

I brought my kid with me to collect plants from a local canal to the river, also to catch frogs and tadpoles to teach him about those.... ended up netting a baby common goldfish. Its an invasive species here, breeding in the wild too, so it would be irresponsible to release it back. So we took it home.
Dewormed the tiny baby, then got him the smallest goldfish buddy we could get (an adorable little Lionchu). Once the baby common grows larger, we will be moving him and a second common to an outdoor pond. The fancy will stay inside and we will get a second fancy buddy too.
Got a couple guppies and a platy in the tote pond too lol

Starting with some sad news.
Today we lost Key, our female dwarf gourami.
The other day she started swimming a little funny and had one sided bloating. This morning I found her dead under the sponge filter. Ive been pretty down about it all day.

I ended up redoing the 46g, a fresh look because seeing her not in there was making me sad.

We set up a small tank awhile ago, added an adorable little female orange Mexican Dwarf Crayfish we got for our son.

How do you get your 46 gallon so tinted with tannins? I have a tank with a whole bed of leaf litter yet I can't seem to get any noticable tint to the water.
