I have found that juveniles are more sensitive to changes in the water..these may be subtle changes. they can also be subject to genetic abnormalities that may result in death.
it is not uncommon for 'weird' deaths to occur in young fish. i raise angels..I have seen juveniles live thru some pretty tough conditions..I have also seen some in a brood die for no apparent rreason while others survuve with no problem. I suspect part of the problem may be to in efficient immune systems in the juveniles.
