ramshorn over-poplulation

ok, as most of you know, I have a 10g tank with a kabillion pond snails and ONE ramshorn
WELL, about a week ago, i found *gulp* 3-4 pond snails AND 7-8 ramshonrs in my 20g!!!!!! :eek::mad2:
I tried the putting some lettuce in there, but NOT ONE snail came!!
What am I ging to do!?!? lol

also, how big do ramshorns get?
 
Depends on what kind of ramshorn you have. The regular ones only get to about the size of a dime. The Columbians get to the size of a quarter or bigger.

so your snails are somehow jumping from tanks to tank....????
 
LOL, no, they must have came with my new plant...

so, do you think the bottle trick would work?
 
As for how big ramshorn snails can get. I have one in my tank right now that's easily an inch and a half, inch and three quarters in diameter. I purchased him when he was nearly this large already, so I have no idea how long it takes for them to get this large. But he trully is impressive.
