Outdoor Aquarium

umm, goldfish are coldwater fish. I have had them survice quite nicely with the pond frozen over completely.

In a pond, of course, that's a given. We're not talking about a pond here, we're talking about an aquarium. An aquarium is obviously a much smaller body of water, and could concievably get cold enough during a freeze to hurt goldfish. There is no deep water for them to swim down into and survive.
 
The mid 30's are above freezing.

It's generally a good idea to read the ENTIRE thread before posting. I just described the cold snaps we've been having lately, which destroyed millions of dollars worth of crops out here. Temps in the low 20s. Definitely threatening to fish.
 
No offense, but I did read the entire post to include the 1st one. I guess I made the erroneous assumption we were still on the original topic in which the poser of the question stated his lows were in the mid 30s.
