I just bought an inflatable coleman kayak and took it for a 4 hour trip down the river in my local metropark and I'm hooked!! It was awesome! I was too busy keeping myself straight to really birdwatch, but I did see a kingfisher, a racoon that tried to swim across the river in front of me, and a muscrat...Just curious for any tips, my only complaint is "paddle drip" apparently I can buy something for that...

i rented a kayak once. it was a LOT of fun. def. be doing it again this summer.

Did a 50 miler with the Scouts (I'm a Scout leader) on the Buffalo River in Arkansas last summer-had a blast!

Do have a home-built pirouge that I've been known to get wet every so often. The Scouts Love "Mr Art's" boat!

Baby steps-gotta start with baby steps!

We saw a lot of wildlife: deer, bear, otters, Turkey buzzards, raccoons, ducks, geese, kingfishers, herons, egrets....

Plus a lot of fishies!

I have hallways wanted to kayak and go white water rafting. I have been in a canoe before. When I was there someone accidentally sunk a canoe.

mine was $1100 almost ten years ago. I got hooked after renting one in Seattle. Quite fun and relaxing. Much better in groups. My wife and I rented a double kayak in Alaska. wasn't a good idea:duh:

I have the kayaking bug, I have a dagger element 11.5, and I'm looking to buy a dagger mamba for white water :) I have pics posted somewhere

I had a 16 foot canoe for years. It was lot of relaxing fun and I managed to have better fishing trips with it than the 16 1/2 foot center console boat I now have - at least for the most part...
