TDS?

I found this chart on Drfostersmith.com
Gallons 10-17-21-26-32-40-53-79-105-132
Bubbles/min 4-6-8-10-12-15-20-30-40-50

this would give a "medium concentration of 10mg/L"

and the concentration can be increased by how long the bubble is exposed to the water... correct?

right, hard water does protect against pH crashes, as long as you don't add chemical pH adjusters. You determine how much CO2 you have based on the pH of the water and the kH of your water. http://www.rexgrigg.com/co2.pdf
okay sweet! I dont use ph adjusters...

that chart will definately come in handy... good job!

i'll have to pick up some new tests kits.

it all depends on how your dissolving the co2. another way to figure out how much co2 in a tank with a drop checker. a few people make them and sell them on a few of the planted sites for $10 each or so. you could always look on ebay or a few other fish sties has them most of the time $20+ each.

If your kh is on the high side the fluctuation in ph will be less. So in most things you will read people will say add enough co2 to get your ph to drop one full PH point and that will give you about 30ppm but with a high KH if you were to drop a full ph point your co2 would be at toxic levels. There is a really good co2 chart you can use when you start adding co2 that will help you figure out the right amount of co2.http://www.thekrib.com/Plants/CO2/kh-ph-co2-chart.html
Also the fluctuation in ph due to co2 injection will have no effects on your fish.
There is a ton of people myself included that inject co2 and have no problems with the ph fluctuation from day to night and from water changes.
Just remember that when adding co2 it would be best to add micro and macro nutrients as well.
