Terror, any update? We are in the same boat as you and closely watching this thread to get the clue of our problem. :) We have 3 tanks with corys and one of the tank has the same problem. Whenever, we add corys in the tank, corys start losing their barbel in couple of months. Corys in the...

Well, I personally prefer raising cory babies to raising platy fries. My Albino Cory eggs are hatched recently and they are so cute. :)

    Is my tank cycled?

What kind of test are you doing? If you are not using API liquid, it is highly recommended to get one. If Nitrite is not 0, it is not cycled yet. You still have to change water daily since Nitrite is as harmful as Ammonia to your current fish. Low level of Nitrate is not a problem at all when...

    Question about tank for platies

If they are still small, 10G is OK for me. Otherwise, may be 15G. Almost as easy as Guppy. :)

    harlequin rasbora

Many LFS sell harlequin & espei together as harliequin in one tank. It is hard for me to distinguish espei and harlequin. (I believe our rasboras are espei. But I am not completely sure. They was labeled as harlequin from LSF.) I think Hengel is rather easier to distinguish.

Windows 7 RC1 now available for download.

I disagree with you in this subject. With many fix, Vista is not crashed as much as it's initial release. However, Vista's memory / resource management is pretty bad. That is why it is still slow and reserves too much memory as an OS. As an example, our company have a contract with MS and...

    Total Alkalinity

If you sure it has been cycled, you have to put some fishes. Otherwise, beneficial bacteria will be gone within two weeks at most due to the starvation.

python no spill kit...will it work for me?

You have to look at the faucet and sink carefully. It is hard to find proper connector for some fancy faucet. Some of the connectors are not appropriate for the regular daily usage. So, you may change the connector before and after WC. It is bit of pain too. If your sink in the bathroom is...

    Total Alkalinity

Your tank may not be cycled yet unless your tanks are heavily planted OR your test strips are bad. You should see some Nitrates (5-20). Wait till you get liquid test for KH & GH. If you really have to boost KH, you can use baking soda or Crushed Coral.

    white itch and light

:iagree: You don't have to isolate sick fish for ick. Most likely, there are some floating in your water if you could already identify white spot from your fish. You have to keep treating and maintaining high temperature even after white spots disappear from your fish at least 3 more days...
