    Don't add any meds unless they are sick. They'll just become immune to it. vertical stripes on a betta usually are stress indicators. If it were me, I'd do research and have hands on experience keeping bettas before trying to spawn them...

    Nope. Almost all of my tanks are topless. BUT I don't keep anything that's prone to jumping and I do have a fair amount of evaporation.
