    Fishfriend's 75 Gallon Community Tank

Oh. Well, I'm not sure what either of those are and, afaik, have never tested for them. Should I start to do so?

    Water changes in hot climate

Personally I would look into getting a Chiller for the tank during the summer and until then doing waterchanges with ice/iced water. Don't quote me though, I've never attempted to keep cichlids (though I have iced my tanks before, seems to work fine so long as there is a good current and the...

Blue eyed forktails (rainbowish) refuse to eat

Are they wild caught or tank raised or what? If wild you may lose some or get close to it before they accept the flakes as food, if tank raised then they are probably just adjusting as Gabe said. It could also be, as Gabe said, a lack of tasty treats.

    Frustrated! Something attacked my bloodfin!

Black Skirt Tetras are surprisingly aggressive but with 11 I would think they'd be attacking each other - though 11 is rather large a number for a tank only 37 gallons, they could have done it. Check your filter intakes as well though, the fish could have gotten stuck in one. Finally, what are...

    Fishfriend's 75 Gallon Community Tank

I have no idea what gh or kh are :duh: I'm still working on making my digcam work, when I do I'll try to get some better pictures and maybe even a video haha.

    Fishfriend's 75 Gallon Community Tank

The bambo (two stalks) is almost a half a foot taller then the tank. I've learned the hard way that the top needs to be above the water haha. I'll see if I have any HOBs lying around (I used to have like 20 HOBs from older tanks), if I don't then I'll probably stop by my petco on the way home...

    Fishfriend's 20 Gallon "Quiet" Tank

The water is so low right now because I'd been away on vacation for a week and my house tends to get fairly hot (and it was rather dry over the week I was gone). I usually try to keep it near/at the top, which means topping it off about once a week to two weeks.

How Much Bio Filter is really needed?

This is a tad bit late I think but I would keep an uberclose watch on my ammonia and nitrate/nitrite levels (aka, testing twice a day) after adding these fish. I would also have water change stuff ready to go in case the tank goes through a mini-cycle due to the sudden addition of livestock...

    Fishfriend's 20 Gallon "Quiet" Tank

If my 75 Gallon Tank is a bustling city of fish then my 20 gallon tank is a quiet hamlet with friends and neighbors who all know each other. 20 gallons, 3 feet long, with over 60 gallons of filtration, heavy planting, and a low stock this tank was built to be as free of maintenance as possible...

    Fishfriend's 75 Gallon Community Tank

So, I finally have both the time and ability to take (crappy) pictures of my 75 gallon tank. I can't do any close-ups because I'm using my laptop camera (:eek3:) to take the pictures however I do have informational stats and a FTS of the 75. Lets get this thread rollin' for everyone to enjoy :)...

    NoClean Tank... Video

Going to be honest this is literally just an overflow thing... you could probably make one out of a UGF and some pvc and a glass cutting saw... and then it's cheaper and customizable to any tank size haha.

    So, I have an Idea...

I rather think/hope it's been taking out some of the baby guppies, so I'll keep an eye on the killi haha. Fat Mamma is now on Fish-Eating-Alert (FEA) :P As for the numbers and thinning out those guppies I'll probably find a LFS that can take em - if there are none then perhaps I'll look...

    So, I have an Idea...

I currently have 3 tanks between 2 houses. The problem is that I no longer go to the house with the lone tank, but the house I spend most of my time in isn't exactly capable of sustaining another tank at this time. So, my solution is to just merge two of my tanks into 1 tank and hope for the...

Mafia 107 - Tank of Terror!

Well actually, after doing some math (sorry, late night) I've found that, in fact, the game is over! lol, who'd a thunked? :D EVIL VICTORY! The Cichlids have equaled the Tank Fish in number! Roles: Evil Team: Neph - Convict Plantling - German Blue Ram Pir - Texas Cichlid Tank Team: Tank -...

Mafia 107 - Tank of Terror!

As the Bala shark swims off into the darkness, there are multiple fish planning evil deeds and a few fish planning good ones. Sadly, the evil fish are stronger... the Convict swims up in the complete darkness towards it target, a fish about twice it's size and covered in thick armor plating...
