I actually sold a male to a breeder many years ago. He died due to the female being too aggressive. You can make a divider easy with pvc pipe, plastic screen, and suction cups.
the other green terror was already established and trying to defend his territory. two green terrors in a 75 gallon may be okay. I raised one till about 10" TL and he almost looked perfect by himself all alone in a 75 gallon. Check out the vid below of him shot back in 2008...
Yeah tough economy. I remember here in the Lehigh Valley, PA there were at least 3 shops I frequented weekly years ago. So many types of African and central american cichlids on display. Now it's just the pet store chains.
I'm still around barely lol. Just busy with kids/family plus I only have one tank right now and not much to report. It seems all the forums have slowed down drastically within the last few years.
I try to keep mine below 10ppm. I also try to do 50-75% weekly water changes. Note I said 'try'. Once in a blue moon my nitrates measure 40ppm then I have to slap myself!!
