How much damage do they do to planted tanks? Any plant suggestions where they leave it alone?

I have an Amazon sword or some hybrid of it that sprouted a long vine. I thought it was a flower, but after a few days sections in the vines seem to be sprouting more sword plants. How do I propagate it? Do i chop off the vine? bury it? leave it alone?

Would the blue rams eat the Rasboras? Would the rasboras eat the blue ram? Right now I'm just worried the blue ram will get too big at about 3 inches. I don't know how big the mouth of the ram is. Then again, I have heard of people keeping blue rams with Scarlett Badis before.
