:woot::woot:Sounds like he met up with a nice hobbyist with a house full of tanks, who's moving. Boy oh boy, he's got himself a bunch of young ones and he's brining em home!
It's the second picture, right below the gill, is some whitish, film stuff. Looks like mucus, or some kind of cotton. There was some also on the other fish, but this one has the most.
I saw the listing on Craigslist, picked them up in LI. The listing should still be there, search under Discus, for NY or LI. His name is Phillip.
I picked up 10 Discus from him. They are about 1.5" to about 4" I would say, vary in sizes.
I have additional photos that can maybe help identify if there is anything wrong with them.
Some of them have white stuff on the side of their body, not sure if they were there before, or during transport. Looks like scraps of some sort.
I just need to know if it's anything I need to treat with, or will it go away and heal on it's own. Also some shots are of their poop, to make sure they don't have anything internal.
Their fins look a little ragged around the edges. Lots of clean water should help them grow back. What you're seeing on the sides of them may in fact be little scrapes from being chased and caught and having some dirt stirred up in the guys tank. So clean water would be best for that too. How's their appetites?
