Ok, so i think my parents stopped caring about me spending time on my tanks, so i have decided to turn my 10 gallon, into an asian tank! Any plants from asia will do!

What i have so far

2 Wendtii Crypts (one growing AMAZINGLY well, the other, meh)
1 Java Fern (still a baby - Come leaves are yelloy at the edges and are transparent, any help on fixing this>)

and rocks.

I NEED

A floating plant to block off some light for my java fern
and A kinda "focal point" plant

I have this CRAPPY bubble filter thing, but i will hopefully be replacing it with a real filter soon.

I have 3 betta's (1 male and two female) in the same tank (they don't fight, the only problem is my male hasn't gotten used to my new female, so he is kinda chasing her and showing off - it's funny though, because my older female cuts him off and looks like she is saying to leave her alone, lol)

6 neons - moving to my 30 gallon though

1 applesnail (was labled mystery snail) - excellent at eating my algae problem that i had!

1 cory cat - moving back to 30 gallon, he was a temporary until i could get a new cleaner

There is ONE question i have, though. I read that SOME people successfully grow bamboo in their tanks, others say it ruins the water and kills fish, others use dried bamboo and replace it yearly. I would like a little in the tank, too - which meathod should i go about?

thanks!

To hit on your question.. The bamboo sold under the name "lucky bamboo" should work in your tank, so long as it is NOT fully submerged..got let the leaves hang out.

here's the tank i was thinking about. tank belongs to Sergio from over at NJAGC and SUMO regulators, hes given me permission to use these shots of his tank. the Poaceae SP. "Purple Bamboo" is over on the right side of the tank

If you mean the plant being referred to by Ozymandias, it was called Poaceae Sp. "Purple Bamboo".
