works now. looking good. your setup is like 99% the same as mine when i was running a 10 gallon.
It looks unleveled because the water flow from the filter and what do you guys think i can be missing...
One more thing i dont know what kind of fish i can put in there...
I think i have like 2 weeks until i put the fish in there...

Here is a pic of my planted 10g...also a pic of the screw in cfl bulbs I have...Lights are 10w Daylight 6500k bulbs I got in a pack of 2 at Walmart for $6..You could probably get some 13w ones to fit ..I went with the 10w because I was afraid the bulb might be a tight fit and hit the hood but they are not.
holy cow !! you mean I can take them silly lights out of the top my my hood and put these in them? I did not know this ( see pictures do help this old bag :LOL: Thank you , i am so shocked! I can read a million how to's, but when some nice person posts a pic its worth so much more. I am so glad. I can go get that 10 gallon tank with the incondecent lighting and put those bulbs in!! so it doubles the lighting? wow awsome!!
I just went and ordered a 10 gallon with florecent lighting, and I know its not going to be enough. I am so stoked now, I can get the 24.00 tank with the hood and not blow the 25 more dollars for the other lighting which is never enough light any ways.
yea i also never knew you can use those type of bulbs in this tank if not i would of done this a long time ago...

Thats what I did...Walmart has the kit for like $24 then I bought the lights for like $6 ...So have a pretty good little tank for my first attempt at a planted tank.
Then you have to add in price for Stealth heater,Tahitan Moon sand, mopani driftwood and the plants......But pricematching at Petsmart saved me alot then I got my plants from Mgamer20o0 on this forum.
