Petsmart .... It is high though.. $24 for a 20lb bag which is enough to have a good 2" thick layer in a 10g. But if you goto Big Al's ( www.bigalsonline.com ) and print off the page showing thier price which is like $15 you can take it to Petsmart and they will pricematch it and give it to you for the $15 or you can do the same thing off Petsmarts site and it is alittle cheaper at $20 if they wont honor Big Al's prices...my Petsmart does but some wont honor anything but thier own online prices.
 
ooo i think i am going to go buy some substrate now and is there anything i need to do before puting it in there...
 
forget it my local fish store was out of substrate for planted aquariums

I know you said your filter was causing the visual effect...but the water level in that tank still looks very not horizontal to me...but hey its a 10g so the forces are less than in a larger tank, and you're the one looking at it so you can see if there's a prob.

anyway...looking forward to see pics of your planted set-up :)
 
Coler, i know what you mean i turned the filter of and the water is perfectly leveled also i measured the stand that its on and it is 100% perfect too...

JPAPPY789- The gravel is new but it does look like its old
