if you get it at the LFS then its for what we are useing it for, if you get it elsware it is used for plumming

Oh yeah I see it now I thought it was 1/2" PVC pipe.
Also you could try to connect the two vertical PVC pieces with some 1/2" flexible clear tubing. So it is an upside down "U" right now correct? so I am talking about the bottom of the "U" which is on top when it hangs over the bath tub. that way you can leave the part that will connect to the faucet and just lay it in the bath tub and the thread it in to the faucet when you are ready to fill the tank. hope it all makes sense.

yes it makes sence, i will have to see, and the tube im going to use does not have the metal wire in it, but i will have to see what im doing depending on what Menards carys

I have seen replacement python T fittings at petsmart for like $10. would just buy that and add my own tubing and gravel vac... I think.

Everyone should just work together to find the best and cheapest python replacement...shouldn't be hard to do and definitely off to a good start.

ok well i finished it, its not the best, i made a mistake by cutting the nipple down on my syphon and the tube is to short, and the sincs its to short im still fill ing the tank by hand but other than that it alsome, and it cleans the tank like a mad man, and i will soon to be getting more tube so i can fill it with the sink, and it bets the heck out of buckets here are some pics
