1000 gallon comunal tank

My husband regularly goes in our tank to do maintenance and glass cleaning. While he can't swim around in it, at 6' high, the water would be over his head, so he drops about 600 gallons before he goes in. He manually cleans the glass because at 3/4" thick, it is tough to find magnets big enough to work without paying an arm and a leg for them. The fish are all used to him being in there and pretty much ignore him while he works. :D
