Hey guys. My bf and I picked up a 14g biocube yesterday and want to do a fowlr tank with it. We have absolutely no idea where to start though. Can you help me?

Wow, a relatively simple question with a relatively long, complex answer...

The best place to start would be the stickies in this forum, as well as the fish-only forum.

And the library. Boos, books, books, books, books. I probably researched for about three months before even thinking of trying a tank.

However, i curently have a 12 gallon bio, so i could probably give you a few pointers if you have any specific questions.

i have a 14 gallon bio cube after a yaer the fans were out and grind
so u have to replace them

how hard is it to upgrade a sw to a bigger tank after it is established? Same as a fw?

Depends on when you say "how hard" it is mostly how expensive. Since you are starting with a very small tank, everything you need for the larger one will be a new unique purchase: lights, skimmers, powerheads. Your test kit will still work and the livestock, but that is about it. The LR will obviously transfer fine and the LS that will be in your nano will be great to seed your upgraded tank. HTH

thank you. I think that he has changed his mind though. He has enough trouble keeping up with his Oscars, after I told him what I found out while researching a nano he faltered. lol I think I may end up with the tank and have to figure out something to do with it

Why not just make it into a shirmp or invert tank? They can be fun to watch and you have plenty of space :D
