I recently gotten a 14 gallon rimless cube tank. I put a cycled filter on to it, going to swap it out for a sponge filter soon. I put some plant Trimmings in from my other tanks. There is a giant/king betta in the tank, I know bad idea for a new tank, I’m going to do water changes every few days.

hes very handsome! Tank will look good once the plants fill in :D

Unfortunately I had lost my king betta, unknown to me he had a tumor in his gills and I only noticed it after he had passed. I have done 2 water changes since then. I had swapped around things in my other betta tanks and pulled 4 galaxy Rasboras and moved them to the 14 gallon tank.
Currently stock wise is 7 neons, 4 galaxy rasboras and 4 platys. The platys will be moved to my 40 Breeder when I add a betta to the tank.

I'm sorry you lost your betta, he was pretty! Your plants are coming along except for the moss balls...Do you gently rinse & squeeze them? Rotate them? I've never tried to grow them...but I "think" that's what you do...

The moss balls did this when I had them in their original tank which was 5.5 gallons and went back to green a few weeks afterwards. They have grown a bit since I first got them 8 months ago. I did squeeze them a bit and rolled them around a bit.
they’ll got back to being green soon. I am currently looking at imported bettas and picked one I will get. It’ll take about 2 weeks to get him, but that’s fine.
