14g Betta community tank

I don't believe that the actual species of betta splendens has existed for some time, the current one is a hybrid of a few species that has been around for years.

If you want to see a list of endangered betta species, or any species, a good place to start is the IUCN red list. - https://www.iucnredlist.org/

Another place to look would be the CARES fish progra, - https://caresforfish.org

I hope that helps.

I don't believe there's a wild splendens. possibly folks are just breeding a little irate ones?

wild bettas are just a way of saying species that are not splendens.

Wild hybrid, or alien bettas are hybrids between differing species of wild betta (maybe splendens too)

water parameters, temperature and otherwise will depend on the specific species. I think domestic splendens would be OK a bit higher, it may be too high for some wild types (ours are all room temperature, low 70Fs)

read up on the specific species, even domestic splendens.

It looks OK, but would likely be good a little higher too.

If you mean Betta hendra, they are pretty stunning!

Yes, I meant betta hendra :) I agree, they are beautiful. I would really like to have all species of betta. So I should lower the temperature? My Eheim Jager heater is 50w and it heats the tank up 27-28 C sadly

leave the temperature alone.. if anything I'd personally have it slightly higher than you do, assuming the thermometer is accurate
