15 gallon - Southeast Asian Biotope

Cool layout, crypts definitely need to grow out - the vals look great! Cutie shots! I'm glad they're adjusting well.

I think it was sold to me as V. spiralis. I was gonna replace it with a plant from Asia, but then I saw some sites say it's found worldwide in sub-tropical and tropical regions, so I'm keeping it.

Hey. Finally got around to filming some of the kuhlis...
Should kuhlis be this hyperactive? Or are they stressed?:

I also started the rescape today, moved the wood and vals, now I just gotta get some bigger crypts for the left corner. Maybe instead of getting new crypts, I'll get some Ceratopteris, and use some parts of it as floating plants for shade. Or both. Depends on what the LFS will have.

Also first time I've actually seen the kuhlis eat. Weird, they ignore frozen bloodworms right next to them but gang up on flakes.

And that's it for now

I'm thinking they'd like more cover & shade... Should improve when you add a bunch more plants. Thanks for the vid!!

Cute vid. Mine have hyper moments like after a WC but fishy is right more cover will help as will some adjustment time. I cut frozen bloodworms up a little usually for them while they're still frozen. Mine don't seem picky but they get lots of choices.
