yes rope fish. i am going to get another one because i read they do better in pairs. The one that I have is a female, so I am goin to try and pick up a male so that they can mingle...i know they won't breed though.

with a lot of plants cichlids kinda give up the battle and just let them be after awhile..

That's what I was thinking...What did you use for the substrate, sorry if I didnt see it posted. I am thinking of doing a african 30gal.

wow i never thought this thread would resurface without posting updates. the tank flourished for a while but then crashed when some family members did a water change without dechlorinator. i lost hundreds of dollars in fish. ill show updates later on. the substrate was crushed coral.
