^^ for that remember bulbs are not included. So you would have to spend another good portion of your wallet on them.
Right now is the time to balance things out.. see if you (your Mrs.) still want to go with the canopy route and get the retro kit, or with the simple stand with an already preassembled light strip.

Ok, I'm uploading a ton of shots for multiple threads (LOL @ Bk!). Measurements of the interior of the canopy as follows. Topless

Those are the blue LEDs chained across the tank lids (and the pulls for the lifting sections of the glass top. I prefered having them more to the front of the tank then towards the rear.
I love the hagen GLO lighting, but I have been reluctant to get them because Hagen is discontinuing them. they are on sale at all the LFS's in my area as a result. you can get them at half price right now..
just a heads up. I would imagine they are coming out with something to replace them with, because their bulbs do not fit in other T-5 strips because they make their bulbs an inch shorter than everyone else.
eg. a 48" strip normally takes a 48" bulb.
the hagen glo takes their own 47" or 46" (I can't remember which) only...they were sneaky...
