150 Gallon Build Thread ... From the Start

I posted a thread over on MFK and apparently Hagen is having trouble selling them.

I will see if I can find out more from the LFS where I used to work.

I suspect the reason Hagen is having trouble is that the units do not have an on/off switch on them.

that turns a lot of people off (including myself when they first came out)

I like the ease of an on/off switch. I think they should have waited and incorporated a switch first before launching the product line.

Yeah, thats a good point. It has never been an issue for me as my lights are on push button timer so I can cycle between off, on and auto and turn the lights on/off that way. Thanks again for following up on it volt! :thm:

I brought the metal stand home for my 150 tonight. my mom was at my place and freaked out LOL. she said she is glad I have my own place for a huge fish tank LOL I also bought the versa top too :)

I would love to start my own 150 thread LOL but right now I am having trouble uploading my pics. all the pics I have been posting are already saved on my computer..for some reason, my camera software does not pop up/recognize my camera all of a sudden. I have tried uninstalling it and re-installing it but to no avail...

:(

Volt, you don't necessary have to use any program, when you plug your camera in you should get a pop up asking you what you want to do and you can click open to view files and drag the pics on to your desktop, you can also take you card out and place it into your printer/card reader/laptop and the same pop up will appear. It works on any of my computers without any programs.

Hey Coy, just thought you might want to look but there is a acrylic 150 on craigslist for $300 Bucks in Lake Oswego that have the dimentions 72" x 24" x 20" comes with stand and sump. I know you are set but figured Id throw another possibility out there.

Thanks Matt - I got the 150 with black trim and black seams ordered from Marcie. It should be about 4 weeks (gives me time - I hope - to build the stand and canopy).

Progress: I got the "sticks" ordered - starting the stand this weekend (more pics coming soon)!
