150 Gallon Build Thread ... From the Start

Terrific looking!

Actually it did ... it took 3 or 4 days, but the leak has stopped - amazing! (And I have a replacement fitting on the way - lol.)

So that's where part of that flourite-dust settled itself.... :-)

Tank's looking great. Very curious how it's going to develop.
Weekend coming, look forward to the updates.

Regards,
Luc

Thanks! We are also very excited to get it completely planted and stocked.

We have 4 more bags (60 lbs) of Flourite Black on the way - we are planning on building up the right end slightly and across the back.

Cool. It's looking good with the new stuff. (Still can't stop looking at those GREY CIRCLES on the back wall, holding those almost invisible BLACK pipes though, LOL!! j/k!)

I also posted this under equipment ...

Has anybody had a leak with the quick-connection on an Eheim?

We have a 2217 and have pinpointed the tiny leak (1 small drop every hour or so) to where the Eheim tubing connects to the quick-connect valve.

I have tried several times making a new connection. I have tried heating the tubing under warm water so it forms to the connection. I have tried teflon tape. I have tried everything I can think of.

Any successful patches / solutions?

Is it best just to order a new quick-connect valve.

i dont know if you've fixed the problem yet, but have you tried going to home depot. They have these steal rings clamps for hoses/tubing/pipe whatever. You can tighten them as much as you need to.
