Boy, us too ... the easy way the tank cycled and the way things are starting to grow in it may be quicker than we originally planned. About time to get some input on Discus!

Sweet grow-in Coy! Don't ask me re: Discus as I know nothing LOL. Glad the cycle has gone so smoothly. Any algae problems? I doubt it by the look of that growth.

Thanks Vader! The cycle has gone "very" smoothly (knock on wood) - thanks to basically robbing some media from the 45.

There has been some light green algae - primarily on the glass (a little on the manzanita). Keep loading in plants and hopefully it will help choke out any more than what we are currently experiencing. Still running only 160W, 6,000k, 9 hrs per day (3 on, 6 off, and 6 on). So far I have found that 160 watts in 5 foot tubes puts out one **** of a lot of light.

There's a plant swap in Portland next weekend. Thinking about going and filling in the holes in the 150 and "rescaping" the 45 (wow)!!

Kansas - touring for 35 yrs this year and still carrying on!!
