Hi,

This is my first post so nice to meet you all...........

This is my new tank (Juwel 190) with an external Fluval 204 filter.

3 fancy goldfish;

1. Mimas - Orange Ryukin
2. Rhea - Orange/white Ryukin
3. Tethys - Pearlscale calico ranchu

I read alot on this site about the gravel/sand debat and as ive lost 3 fish through swallowing stones i pluged for sand.....they love it, no problems with them hoovering up the sand, they seam to like sifting through it!!

I also have Mopani wood, 2 varigated plants (can't remember name) and some moss balls in the tank, all 3 definately enjoy the extra room they have ..........

;)

Thanx,

Dan

Nice corner setup...:hi:

Nice. I like the clean look. Live plants?

Hi,

Yep, 2 varigated (cant rememba name) plants and 7 moss balls cos ive heard they help with algae...and they look better than i thought hey wud

:)

Was thinking about that actualy, i did consider those 3d background but i thought they'd be a nightmare to keep clean....plus the black would hide some of the filter stuff (which drives me mad!!!)

I think it would look really cool to put a black background on there, and then put some plants, driftwood or whatever towards the back so the background doesn't look too flat. But remember: KISS. Keep It Simple, Stupid. Less is more. (Not that I should talk with all the crap in my tank)!

totally.....less is more although its hard to stop sometimes....

I'm gunna try the black background thing.......thank the lord for ebay :)

I say add a background just to hide the cables or give the tank a sense of drama instead of just seeing the wall or the rest of the house through the glass... but do whatever you like. Everyone here pressures for black backgrounds, but I say it's about preference.

If you want to have one at all, do black or blue or a photo background or whatever you like!!!

It looks really darned good. I'm very impressed and I'm sure your fish are very happy with it. As long as you like it and they like it, I'd leave it as it is. Leaving the decorations in the middle lets the fish swim all the way around, instead of just side-to-side. I think that's neat!! ^__^

Way awesome tank!
