2 Gallon Eclipse, any idea what to put in it ?

A friend of mine got a 37 gal Eclipse, it came with a free 2 gallon Eclipse tank, any idea on what fish to put in it ?

You would want to cycle the tank first.

With that limited of space you can put a Beta in the 3 gallon along with maybe a couple of corry cats.

I know about cycling, and all the other stuff lol I just need tips on what fish to put in it. I don't like Betta's and corries are not in my league any other ideas ?

if you want a betta you should add a heater.

without a heater some white cloud minnows would be a good choice.

with a heater some dwarf puffers would work.

Definately get a little heater. If you do twice monthly water changes, you could put a nice little school of neon tetras (my favorite fish!). Maybe 5 or 7 of them would be very nice! If you don't fancy neons, maybe 3 or 4 male guppies?

Could I use is to breed guppies ? or the filter would suck them up ?

Well I imagine you could use it to breed guppies, but they'd quickly outgrow the tank. I used to put my baby guppy fry into my eclipse 3 gallon and move them to other tanks or give them away once they outgrew the tank. I just put a piece of nylon stocking over the end of the filter to prevent them from getting sucked up.

I suggested male guppies because it would be just them in the tank, very pretty. If you do want to breed the guppies, be sure to get 2 females to 1 male, to prevent sexual harrassment of the females!

You could breed guppies in a 2 gallon tank, but it would eventually get very crowded. How about a small school of danios?

I was just going to mention the zebra danios, how about an aqautic frog?

I would put a couple of ghost shrimp and some african dwarf frogs in it.
