First I was cleaning my cichlid tank earlier this week and discovered a fourth fry in the tank. He must have been hiding in the substrate or in a hole in the lime stone when I removed all the other fish. I sold/traded all my fish to switch to discus and just kept a trio of sexed juvies that I plan to put in a 60 gallon tank eventually for breeding. Well last night I was cleaning the tank and the male started showing his colors (tough guy
) as I looked a bit closer I realized I kept the wrong trio!! I meant to keep a bag with 3 C. Afra in it. And I sold a bag to a LFS with a trio of pseudotropheus zebra in it. Well I must have mixed the bags up somehow and I kept the zebras! It is actually a good thing though, the tank they are in was the zebra fry tank so the fry that appeared is a zebra too.
