Update

I very sad to tell you all that Albert escaped again, I spent 2 hours looking for him, but no avail. I am truly heart broken. It's been over 48 hours. I can only assume he is dead at this point. My cat may have got him because i can't find him anywhere. I tore apart my whole room and house looking, nothing. I had him for nearly 8 years, I feel horrible for him.

What a downer... I'm sorry for your loss. I had a firebelly newt escape once too, found it months later.

What kind of lid were you using?

I miss him alot, poor guy.
Had a glass lid over it, there was a small gap where the wires came out. he escaped before so I taped it up, but it was not sufficient.
