I/we have been through too much in the past 18 months to consider setting up more fish tanks, at least for the foreseeable future, so it is easy to pass on getting new fish.

The only must-have FW fish was C. Hastatus for the longest time... Now I have plenty of them.

The only SW 'fish' I would be likely to buy on sight would be a group of flamboyant cuttlefish.

So not an old-timer, just old, and very very picky

lol, I am an old timer & very picky too...except cool loaches (my downfall). There was a time I'd set up a tank for fish incompatible with current tank stock(s) in a minute, but now I think very hard & more than once. I get lazier as time goes on...or maybe I should say more realistic as to time to devote to my fish hobby, it shouldn't be my second non-paying job, lol.
