210g Build Thread....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you got the lyretail anthias, right? That is the squamihippopotamus or something (sorry...can't remember the name right off). They are gorgeous....and if I remember right my LFS had some for around $20/each (correct me if I'm wrong, Derrick:D). I thought they were a little more on the aggressive side than the others....hmmm...please keep me posted on how yours works out. I would be up or 5 or so of those. I also want a tang or two, an angel or two, a sixline wrasse, and I really like the threadfin butterflyfish. Aaannnd, a few more cardinals.
Thanks!!
Robbie

Nothing terribly new, but my cardinal is out of hiding. He(or she) is eating the flake food and the Cyclopeeze granules. I managed to get a couple of pictures all nine of them sort of together...even the blenny. And a picture o fone of my cats gazing into the tank. I imagine that he is staring in it for a different reason than we do, though....:FIREdevil:
Thanks!
Robbie

Your brother would be so proud to see the tank this way.
Thank you. And thanks for all of your advice (and everyone else's advice too)...this tank would have never made it this far without it. This has been (and always will be) a very special project for my family and I...my brother was very special to all of us and his death was devastating to say the least. I hope in some small way the aquarium will help keep his memory alive for my seven year old especially...he was very close and very fond of his uncle Phillip.
And it just won't be Phillip's tank until I get a yellow tang.
Sorry to ramble:)
Thanks again,
Robbie

I really think you have made a wonderfull job an its certainly something to be proud of indeed. Anyone can see that loads of effort and dedication has gone into it..

There is no hope about it, it will keep your brothers memory alive, everytime you stare into the tank, its beautifull, like life !!!

Look forward to seeing it all mature gracefully now mate..

Hey man, awesome, awesome tank. Post a full tank shot of how the tank looks right now for me please. You've put a lot of dedication into this tank. It looks awesome man, keep up the excellent work:grinyes:

Thanks for the comments, Niko. And your help along the way. And for the future help I'm sure to need:D.

yellow tang- thanks! I would be happy to post an up to date pic of the tank, but I just turned the lights out, so I'll take a new one tomorrow and post it.
I really hope that I am doing things right for this tank....I was looking at the large tank forum on Reef Central and suddenly my setup looks a little...umm...inadequate. These guys are serious! Most of them have this and that and whozits and whatzits...things I have maybe vaguely heard of but most of it read like a Dr Seuss book to me.
thanks again!!

Yes I purchased the Lyrtail and yes he is a little agressive, but really only at feeding.. He chases a bit but nothing overly much.. If you can get them for 20 I'd go for it.. I paid 50 for mine locally.. They ordered 5 more females and a male but got the reverse.. I haven't decided if I want a female yet.. Grins says no.. But I don't know yet.. I've been out of town most of this week and just got back tonight. My babysitter did a good job because all noses are still there and the new coral as well... So.. Just checking in through threads etc. But I'll let you know how it goes.

I completely agree with this one.. Robbie has done an awesome job.

Thanks clown...please do keep me posted on your anthias. Glad you didn't lose any fish!!
