Where would you evacuate to I wonder? Yellowstone all by itself would destroy most of what people consider 'civilization'. Essentially, the entire norther hemisphere... and then the rest of the planet. There is no evacuation, a warning would be more like 'Go say your goodbyes, and see how much food you can stuff in your basement!'. That's about all you would be able to do in such a scenario...

Its a documentary on tv called Supernatural. Shows how to hunt demons, ghosts and monsters. They team up with an angel to prevent the apocolypse.

If the legal system has taught me anything (and it hasn't since that is the job of the education system) it is that reclaiming things takes a LONG time. You have to dig up records. Prove their validity. Disproof the other persons sudden finding of earlier records with a suspicious amount of wet ink on them. It isn't something you just throw a nuke at and demand surrender. LOTS of paperwork and annoyance.
