OK, I read in another thread that it's 5% daily for 2-3 weeks, and then just keep up with the 25-50% weekly schedule. Not too bad, it's do-able, right? 5% for a 29 gal would be about 1.5 gal every day.
I'm guessing that you'll know when it's "good" when 1) nitrates fall below 12 ppm and 2) when the water is not green anymore and you can see your fish's smiling mugs
