6 weeks; I believe the plant geek in me is emerging. I've added a few Onion Plants and Water Sprite. I'm now planning the placement of additional Java Fern, Amazon Sword, and Anubias. Maybe something in the front, I haven't decided. Latest pic . . .

That's looking great! How about a red wendtii crypt on either side for some different color. LOL, I seem to be recommending that a lot lately.

Not getting positive results from the Water Sprite but I'm giving it another week. The Onion Plants are growing new leaves. Crypts will more than likely be the next plant to go in. I'm pleased overall with the set-up and it's become my favorite tank.

Looking real good! I think the small plants in front of the driftwood help to visually push it back & down which is good as it adds depth (front to back). When placing rocks, I have found it's good to tuck their feet into the substrate a bit so they look like they have been there all along. How do you like the Floramax? I just picked up some of the black for setting up a new tank. I have not used it before so not sure what to expect from it. Any tips?

I always have better luck with water sprite as a floating plant, Maybe it needs more co2?

I like FloraMax, visually appealing. The plants are doing well so I have no complaints and would recommend it.
More plants are in the works just can't free up any cash right now.
I decreased the frequency in which I dose to hopefully slow the algae growth. I'm using API Root Tabs, CO2 Booster, and Leaf Zone twice a month now. I'm also feeding twice a day instead of 3x. I had to make sure the glass catfish were eating . . . and they are.

I took out the Water Sprite. Everything else is doing well, including the algae. I just cut ferts in half by dosing every other week. I'll see how that goes before I do anything else. The 3 Otos aren't keeping up so I may get 2 more.
