A feather duster worm.The spiral stuff that blows around is it's crown. It uses it to filter food out of the water column and then retracts the crown to eat. And as mentioned above it retracts when scared as well.
If only mine had the colors of yours. But I still love mine.
And it's not a coral...it's a tube worm.
I'm jealous of CatPickle's red coco worm myself. I've seen the red and white ones here locally but nothing as glorious as her red one.
I bought the last one my LFS had. My LFS is great for fish but it lacks in the invertebrate and coral department. Their display tank is great.
I'm thinking of picking up a sun coral since they don't need high light. I need to get paid :rant2:

So 2 of my hermits decided to move into new homes today. I was surprised when I saw them.
I have a question though. Does this mean they molted?

Also do emerald crabs and hermits, and snails get along?

LFS here sell the extra shells. Crabs are opportunitistic, if they feel like going after your snails they will.
