33g Stocking

Any suggestions for stocking a 33g community tank?

I would like to move my Betta into it, but it's not necessary.

I would like to have glass cats (the smaller sp--3") but again it's not necessary.

So any suggestions with or without the Betta and/or glass cats is appreciated.

What about bottom feeders though, do I have any room for those too??

There is thousands of species of bottom feeders, narrow it down a bit please.

But, every fish you mentioned in your post is OK with this setup, and you will have a great assortment of bottom feeders.

how about 4 panda cories?

would I have room for any other fish..or am I pretty much at my limit?

You'll have a little elbow room, but not much. Probably enough for the cories as well, but that would be it for fish.

does anyone else have any suggestions? They don't have to include the betta or glass cats...just what you think would be good for a 33 g

Ottos are a good suggestion (I assume they mean Otocinclus catfish) because they are bottom feeders and will help keep your tank pretty by eating algae. I always try to maintain some top swimmers, middle swimmers, and bottom feeders for aesthetics and balance. Like aquarium feng shui :joke:

The real question would be, what do you want from your tank?

Do you want something calm and peaceful to watch with beautiful fish?
..or unsual and odd fish to amuse you?
..or just alot of movement and energy in the tank?
Do you want fish that clearly respond to you or that interact mostly with each other?
Would you prefer to have a few larger fish, or lots of small ones?
Do you want a tank that stays the same over time, or do you expect to
be wanting to change things up after awhile?

There are thousands of readily available fish, and billions of combinations of them. If you can verbalize what you want from the tank, you stand a better chance of getting good suggestions for what to put into it--and of ending up satisfied with your choices.

i would like to have a peaceful tank to watch beautiful fish, lots of colour would be nice..I think I would like to have smaller fish (3-4" and under)because I would like to have alot (within my stocking limits of course)

hopefully that helps a bit

oh and so far I have 6 Dwarf Neon Rainbows (still young though and haven't reached there full size)
