Thanks! Yes, I was hoping to get a black tank background, but as I am sure you all know starting up a tank is expensive so I am tanking the most important to the least important right now. Hopefully, I can get one soon! (I might try poster board since that would be less expensive thanks!) My Ammonia is at 2ppm, nitrite is at 0, and nitrate is at 5ppm. Have a great day!

Actually your blue wall color might look good too...unless a blue betta is on you list. That might cheapest yet if you have leftover paint. It reminds me of our very first tank's substrate. But we've moved on from that; although, many years later we still find a piece once in a while, lol. Black is best to me any more..

Keep up the 2ppm ammonia until you're cycled...you're getting there!
