...Check your heater if you see any moisture in there, or cracks or something.
Yep. I've lost fish to heaters too, I think.
Even good heaters should be replaced after a few years. I just replaced this Aqueon as well as an Italian Visitherm Stealth last week. I think the one pictured took out a couple of lg. Angels.

I had lost the remaining of my black phantoms and my two pearl Gouramis a few weeks ago... waited a few more days after wards. The only fish that survived were 4 corys, clown pleco, all my shrimp(4 amano and 2 bamboo), and 2 loaches. I gotten some more tetras 6 neons and 6 green neons(lost 2, they didn’t look good in the bag) and a small angel. I know angels can eat neons but I had them together before for years and never had issues. I am feeding them an anti parasite food just to be safe and so far haven’t had anymore deaths.
I will get a new heater when it gets cooler, since it’s hot no need for a heater right now. I may look into an Aquatop or a Marineland heater(had Marineland heaters in the past and never had issues with them)

Dang, I'm sorry you lost so many fish. Once there's visible moisture in heaters they're done for, sometimes in catastrophic ways. I "think" Visitherms are Marineland, it was just the black Stealth 1s AFAIK that had issues. I have a couple replacement glass 1s they sent me after the recall of Stealths (along with $$) but I don't heat my takes much if ever where I live now. I also had some glass 1s before the "cool black Steaths". I loved them & only had 1 or maybe 2 go bad; I had 12 or so but...well, recalled...I recently found a couple more Stealths in my stash.

I don't know Aquatops. The only other submersible heaters I've used are old green top Eheims, I "hear" the blue topped 1s (newer) are not as reliable.

It was so upsetting, I loved my Black Phantoms and the Gouramis were just warming up to me more from them hiding for weeks. Now waiting on the angel to warm up to me and maybe up the schoal of tetras, there’s currently 10 neons.

The neons and angel are doing great and I haven’t lost anymore tetras or any of the remaining fish from the die out. I recently added a purple gloshark to the tank a few weeks ago and he’s also doing well. I’m looking at adding a few more tetras and corydoras in a few weeks.

Well goodluck to you. Neons are a natural food to angels and I would never ever deprive any fish of what they need otherwise they are just unhappy fish.
