4300 Gallon Plywood Build (3600+ Take 2)

Pete,

Will/would that sealer you are using adhere to EDPM? Just curious if you would know or if it was in the literature that came with it.......

nice wish i could take vacation in the summer :( I do hvac so no vacation from sept /may. but have a 3 day weekend which is nice

No, it won't. EDPM is petroleum based which prevents the liquid rubber from bonding with it.

Bummer, I was thinking it would make a good sealer on a patched pond liner after liquid rubber. Wanted to add another 8 inches of depth to my retaining wall pond.

Coated the bottom with a chip brush so that I could make the coat a little thicker and go over the bottom carefully. Fill test won't be tomorrow, but soon. Still want to finish out the 3/4 gallon I'm using on it.

I have about an inch left in the bucket after finishing out brushing the floor. I'm going to use it to trim out the tape around the bottom. Not going to use the other 3/4 gallon that is in the 5 gallon bucket.

Apparently, the small leak started way before 3700 gallons. Test fill two left overnight with around 1300 gallons or so leaked at a very small rate. I suspect that because of that I didn't see it with the first test fill.

Unfortunately, I'll have to dry the tank out again. Until I can get my friends over to help me reverse the French doors, I won't be doing any more testing. I need to be able to see what is happening on that side of the tank to determine where the leak is coming from. If it was in the bottom, the amount of Rubber Coat I applied should have taken care of it.
