4300 Gallon Plywood Build (3600+ Take 2)

wow big differancne on price what will that be percentage wise on the whole project

I'll have to calculate it out, but who knows on the real cost. I have to think that comparing apples to apples on Blue Max is safer than assuming 10 gallons of it would be enough. The product price difference is $243.

What that gets me:

puncture resistance that I'm comfortable with rather than unknown on Blue Max

black color rather than translucent blue that shows wood grain, seam tape, and well, is blue...

same liquid rubber ease of application (as opposed to Pond Shield epoxy)

wow.. I have been away from AC for a while.. I come back.. and nolapete is at it again.

amazing tank man.

just so you know if I am ever in new orleans.. I WILL be knocking on your door so prepare yourself for that

Pond Coat
Pros
liquid rubber
no vocs
high puncture resistance
bonds well to itself
easy to apply

Cons
cost

I would use the Pond coat - BUT hey - Its your Build and your MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

its a lot of area to cover full stop im glad im not painting it and thats my job lol

Pond Coat and Blue Max are applied in multiple coats, so it's not a non-stop application. I think Pond Armor you have to do non-stop otherwise you have to sand the area you stopped at to get it to grab, but you'd have to ask Rich, John, or someone else who has used it to be certain.

I'm thinking the puncture resistance and black color are worth the extra cost.

any pictures from externally of the tank front (or have i just scrolled right past em lol)

i am checking this thread every day before i even check my own lol
