I'm not sure what you plan on doing for lighting, but have you considered solatubes over the tank? A few of those would probably light it up pretty well.

Natural gas forced air furnace using same duct work as central air.

I have the first design worked out. Just need to locate the parts I need.
 
Whoa Pete you've got some moxie lol. Props on the ambitious project. good to see it working out, if ya have any questions on electrical just ask. are you gonna plant any plants in there?

No plants other than the artificial kind. My friend uses huge ones he gets from a craft store in his 2000+ gallon tanks and you'd swear they were real.

I'm going to take you up on the electrical help. I'll post some pics of my most pressing question when I get home.
