4300 Gallon Plywood Build (3600+ Take 2)

Today's progress so far:

Ceiling above tank done except for trim and another coat of paint.

Liner pieces on bottom of tank. Easy to pull up. Like velcro kind of bond.

55 Oceanic I have for sale $75

Liner folding example on the 11' x 20' liner section I picked up from Jack Saturday.

Where I'll be this afternoon...

:omg: we have :werd::y220e:

Unfortunately, with all the thunderstorms today I can't use the pool and it's too humid to apply a coat on the tank. The pork chops I cooked are really good though...

Smaller fish

I personally would like to see small fish in a big tank. Reason being the fact that you can have way more freedom and variety as well as being able to see actual fish schooling patterns. It would be sick if you have all different species of barbs, gouramis, angels, and other cool varieties that like the same water conditions. Its kind of boring to sit there and watch a couple fish just hover.
The only problem I could see with a bunch of smaller fish is spotting deaths.

Yawn...

There won't be just a couple fish in the tank. There will probably be closer to 100+

I have a feeling once the water hits the PC/LR even that slight velcro tacky feeling will be gone. You might want to place some bags of the substrate to be in there on top of the liner prior to filling. Of course, if you place the pond liner over the last coat on the floor of the tank that might give you a good bond. Lookin good Pete! I can almost smell the porkchops!

Not really worried about it coming up during test fill. I just want it there to put the ladder on so the bottom doesn't get gouged while we're working.

The US version doesn't seem to have the same properties as the Canadian version. If you look at the liquidrubber.ca site and find the video informercial, you'll see what I mean.

I'd love to get my hands on the canadian version and compare the two. It's clear that the canadian version is a thicker product. There is no way you are putting up tile on a vertical surface with the US version. As long as it continues to hold water I'm happy. Oh, and it does resael holes. I put a screw through my tank above the water line a few days ago. My filter screen clogged and the water level went up above that hole for at least 2 days......no leaks!
