4300 Gallon Plywood Build (3600+ Take 2)

Ah jeez...I guess I gotta paint a picture for ya.

One of Van Gogh's love interests was Eurasian, (hence the Polynesian girl reference).

He had a falling out with fellow Impressionist artist Gauguin, where he attacked him with a straight razor and ended up loosing a part of his own ear, (and now the knife explained).

The guy ended up killing himself later with a gun, (and finally the reference to my concern for your mental state over the progress of your work).

Next time be a little more careful in choosing an artistic reference. Vincent was a pretty dark character with serious issues.

It was a joke!

Sorry, didn't mean to be so esoteric.

Sorry, not an art history buff, so your esoteric post was lost on me even though I am also a pretty dark character with serious issues who already knew the meaning of esoteric.

Aggravated about missing the performance I was going to see. Texas spring break invasion left zero parking in the Quarter, so after 30 minutes of looking for a spot, all lots full, I headed home. I was already running late, so that made it worse.

Trimmed out the first coat on the tank, so now the first coat is complete and the entire surface that touches water has coating. I didn't put any on the acrylic. I want to tape that off before I do.

Keep at it Pete, SOrry you missed out on your thing tonight!

Second coat is done. Trimmed it out with a brush then rolled the rest. Picked up the ladder then rolled the spots it was in with a roller on a pole. Takes about an hour and a half to do an entire coat. I don't use a roller pan. I dump some coating on the floor and use it like an artist uses a palette. When it gets close to being gone, I roll it out on the floor around where I dumped it. Works great.

GO GO Pete!

I'd say "Are we there yet?" but wow we almost are. How many coats are you planing. It looks a lot thinner that I was expecting. Something like Dip-It was more like I had in mind.
